Your Skin Care Range – What Are You Missing?
If you are looking to improve the quality of your skin and make upgrades to your current skin care regime, then it may be time to check out your skin care range of products and see what’s missing.
Different brands and skin types may require different types of skin care ranges that offer different types of products.
We will go through some of the more basic types of products that you can expect to find in your typical skin care range, and just why these skin care products are important for you.
Cleanser
The facial cleanser is the fundamental piece of any skin care range. It has to be suitable for your skin type and it has to do the job right.
If you wear makeup on a regular basis, be sure to choose a cleansing product that actually promises to remove makeup (believe it or not, but a lot of cleansers will not fully remove the oily residues of makeup).
If you have acne, choose a skin care range and cleanser that are specifically tailored to help clean your pores and help reduce the amount of oil on your face.
TIP: Some times the cleanser is referred to as a “scrub”, which may or may not have some exfoliating ingredients involved. Be sure that the “scrub” is suitable for your skin type.
Toner
Toning one’s skin is one of the most overlooked steps in the skin care process, which is a big mistake. Toning your skin will help rebalance your skin’s pH levels, it will cleans your skin, and it will remove any excess oils and residue.
Using a toner regularly will also help reduce the appearance of your pores and help prevent any future break outs.
Moisturizing Cream
Moisturizing one’s skin is key to maintaining a youthful glow. Without moisturizing products, our skin would go unnourished and be tight, dry, and wrinkle easily.
A good quality moisturizing cream will be thick enough to nourish your skin and infuse it with nutrients, yet be not so greasy so that it does not leave any oily residues or remnants behind.
Body Lotion
A skin care range line will often also include a body lotion so that you are able to moisturize your whole body after a bath, a shower, or being out in the sun.
A body lotion is usually thick and creamy, but it should also dissolve quickly and not leave you with that slick, greasy feeling.
Look for body lotions from skin care lines that offer quick absorption and that are made of natural oils.
Lip Balm
Yes, your lips count as being part of your “skin” as well! It is important for any skin care range to include a lip balm in their range so that you can be sure that every inch of your skin is being cared for and pampered when you invest in a skin care line.
You want to find a lip balm that will stay on, that has some level of UVA and UVB protection, and that will moisturize your lips.
Try to find lip balms that have no additives, that are non greasy, and that can be easily carried in your bag or purse.
