Free Acne Treatments You Can Start Today
Is there anything more embarrassing than having pimples on your face? Having acne can not only ruin one’s appearance, but it can also have an adverse effect on one’s self esteem and self confidence.
Flawless skin is obtainable, even for those who have acne prone skin. If you want to get rid of that acne permanently, here are some things that you can start doing today to get the skin that you deserve.
Don’t Skip on the Moisturizer
Acne is associated with oily skin, which is generally a fair assumption. Those with oily skin often get acne as the over production of oil will trap ay dirt and debris in our pores, which in turn causes our skin to break out into pimples and acne.
But having oily skin does not mean that you should not moisturize your skin. If you do not moisturize your skin after you cleanse it, your skin will immediately begin to produce oil to try and replenish it.
Often it will over compensate and create too much oil in an attempt to try and hydrate the skin, which of course results in you having oily skin.
When you use a moisturizer, make sure that you do use one that is made specifically for someone with acne prone or oily skin. Oil free and water based moisturizers are a must in keeping your skin smooth and acne-free.
Wash Regularly
It’s important to wash your face regularly so that we are getting rid of that dirt and debris that ca otherwise become trapped in the pores of our skin.
Not cleansing properly or frequently enough is one of the primary reasons why people suffer from acne in the first place. You should wash your face once in the morning, and then twice more before you go to bed at night.
TIP: Make sure that you do not “over wash” your face. Doing this will only strip your face of the moisture it needs and cause for your skin to over produce oil.
Stop Squeezing
It’s tempting, but no matter what state a pimple may be in – under the skin, white head, or blackhead – do not squeeze. It’s never a good idea and it will not help speed up the pimple removing process.
The dirt that is clogging up the pores of your skin can easily then filter down into your fresh, open pore and cause for the pimple to become more infected and even bigger than it was before!
Not only is it counterproductive in that way, but there is a good chance that you will be left with unattractive scarring as a result. Focus on cleansing and moisturizing your face and don’t touch your acne.
Stop Touching your Face
Keep your hands off of your face as much as you possibly can. No matter how often you may wash your hands in a day, our hands are perhaps the dirtiest part of our body. Touch your face with them, and you are just placing more dirt and debris on top of and in our pores.
